There are some great rebate programs for the Southern state of New Hampshire, but you must pre-qualify for some rebates. So, having a game plan and strategy is vital before starting an HVAC-approved rebate installation. In today's article, we will give you a complete breakdown of the process for 2025.

Every year, there are changes to the New Hampshire HVAC rebates, and we at Skywalker HVAC are here to keep you up to date and simplify the process. Let's first start at the federal level. This rebate is relatively straightforward.

Currently, the Federal tax credits allow you to claim up to 30% of the installation cost. The maximum credit you can take is $2,000. And the equipment and installation must occur between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2032.

The type and model of the HVAC equipment are crucial as they must be ENERGY STAR-certified.

For Qualifying Heat Pumps, they must follow these guidelines:

Meet or exceed the highest efficiency tier set by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE). Meet minimum efficiencies for EER2 and HSPF2. And be installed in a pre-exsisitng home you use as your primary residence in the United States.

Heat Pump Water Heaters must meet these qualifications:

Integrated heat pump water heaters must meet ≥ 3.30 Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) ≥ 2.80 UEF for a 120-volt/15-amp circuit.
Split-system heat pump water heater models must meet ≥ 2.80 UEF.

The credit works by claiming it when you file your federal income taxes for the year. The tax credit then reduces what you owe in taxes. The credit resets annually, so it is a one-time tax credit.

Now, let's talk about the complicated New Hampshire HVAC Rebate Program.

Southern New Hampshire electric and natural gas utility business customers can use their company's energy efficiency products and services.
